So I found out about "Battleswarm: Field of Honor" today and it sounds great to me. Could be a lot of fun ripping aliens apart, but as you might see from my DNA, I also like strategy so I will try to swarm those hummies, too.

However, I'm still a Linux-only-gamer and this game only provides a Windows-version. Some quick google-searches turned up with nothing useful, so I shall try to get it to run in wine.

Let's have a look at the requirements first to judge if there is even the possibility to run it:
» Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows® XP SP2 or newer -- maybe (wine)
Processor: 2.2 GHz processor or higher -- check (AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+)
Memory: 1024 MB RAM (2 GB recommended) -- check (4 GB Corsair Dual-Channel)
Graphics: 64 MB DirectX 7 level video card -- check (nVidia Corporation G94 [GeForce 9600 GT] (rev a1))
DirectX®: 9.0c or higher -- maybe? (wine)
Hard Drive: 1.5 GB free -- check (lol)
Sound: DirectX compatible sound card -- check (wine / oss4)
Multiplayer: Internet connection -- uhm, check ofc!

So, I should be all set - downloading it right now!

My wine-setup is fairly complex and sophisticated, so I think it will run for me (a lot of stuff runs for me that didn't for others, for example the early HoN-beta (they got a Linux-version now)).
Once I can report success, however, I'm going to set up a clean fresh install and provide you with all the details on what you have to do to enjoy it, too!

hehe, just applied my gamerDNA to it and it instantly matches Savage 2 - my current favourite!
